The Valley Of Meth

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of meth I fear for I live evil: for insanity art with me; the foil and glass pipe they comfort me.

Paranoia prepares a table before me in the presence of thine influence; thou anointest my head with sweat; my blood boileth over.

Surely sickness and despair shall follow my all the days of my life: I will dwell in the House of the Damned forever.

“The Dream” This is the first oil painting I ever created. 16 inches X 20 inches

“Nikola Tesla ” 2 foot X 3 foot. I won best of show at the 2014 Arkansas State Fair for this painting. Nikola Tesla was an amazing man.

“Self Portrait ” 16″ X 20″ I used myself as the model for this work. This is a statement about how money and religion are designed to keep us down. This NOT a painting of the devil.

“The Art World” 1 foot X 22 inches. This reflects how hard it is for some to break into the art word.

“The Art World 2” 1 foot X 22 inches. This represents  what we artists, peeking through the keyhole, see while looking. The key to our dreams dangling just out of reach.

“The Evil Dead ” 16 inches X 20 inches. This painting was inspired and named after a movie with the same title. No longer for sale.

“Freddy vs. Jason ” 16 inches X 20 inches. I took a bit of artistic license with the color scheme on this one. No risk no reward.

Reaching for the dream

I can say with all honesty that chasing my dream of being not only an artist, but a selling artist ,is one of the most terrifying things I’ve ever attempted. I have been working for myself for the last four and a half years doing floor installation. My bipolar disorder has gotten to where it’s impossible for me to even work for myself. On the other hand my creative side is burning hotter than ever. I have an extremely hard time just calling anyone, and rejection brings me way down. I have four pages of galleries that have rejected me. Despite all of this I WILL continue to reach for my dream. Until the day I can no longer pick up a paint brush I’ll continue to reach. Hell even after that I’ll keep reaching.
